This textured wallpaper exceeded my expectations. I was a little nervous going in since I hadn’t hung wallpaper before, but it went up so much easier than I thought it would. The panels lined up well and there was no frustrating bubbling or shifting once it was smoothed down. What really surprised me is the thickness — this isn’t some thin, flimsy material. It has real body to it, and you can actually feel the texture when you run your hand over it, which gives the wall a much richer, more dimensional look than a flat print. In certain lighting the texture really pops and adds so much depth to the room. It photographs beautifully too, but honestly it looks even better in person. Application was smooth, cleanup was easy, and the end result feels like a legitimate upgrade rather than just “wallpaper.” I’ve already gotten compliments from friends who assumed it was a textured paint finish or a professionally finished accent wall. Texture adds nice accent to an otherwise dull room. Used liberal amount of paste and pleased with adhesion. Variation in the colors of the grass threads made it relatively easy to apply different strips side-by-side. Some difficulty in eliminating all of the bubbles that developed under the paper despite repeated smoothing with two different tools. Beautiful pattern and color. In the process of putting it up. I am not a professional, but with the help of a few youtube videos, I was able to install it myself. It's a little different than printed wallpapers and requires a bit more precision around internal and external corners. I put it at the bottom of a chair rail moulding and painted the upper wall a shade of green by Benjamin Moore called Sherwood Green. I had a hard time picking that color because there are many shades of green and blue that are in the wallpaper. I originally painted it a much brighter green, but didn't care for it, so repainted it the Sherwood Green. The photo was taken at night, so doesn't show the variation of colors, and the Sherwood reflects the wallpaper much better in the day or with more lights on in the room. BTW - it's a dining room.
