It's important to note that with this design, the center square goes above the ceiling grid vs. sitting below it, so this is perfect for my application as the basement in my home is quite low in some areas where there is duct work, allowing me to optimize head space versus other designs that droop below the ceiling grid. First order was sent to me wrong color and wrong pattern but wayfair got in touch with the manufacturer and the right order was quickly shipped out. I’m very happy with it. The white color is true white. It’s straight not warped, easy to install. If you have the grid system you just pop it in, if not I use glue for my laundry room ceiling because it’s easily removed in case I have another leak. I recently purchased the round mirror with a lighted border, and I must say, it's a stunning addition to my space! I have been looking at these ceiling panels for awhile, thinking I might be able to use them as decorative molding on the hall walls in our new-to-us home, and I finally ordered them. While they are really nice and a perfect size in my thinking, my hubby pointed out that he would not be able to customize the molding for end pieces on shorter length walls. He also mentioned that, while these panels are perfectly smooth, our walls have some texture, so the botton half of the wall would not all be the same texture. I had not really considered those things! These panels are really very well-made, sturdy without being heavy, and will look great when used on a ceiling as they are intended. These were exactly what our dated basement ceiling needed. Our space looks amazing and so fresh now! We painted our existing ceiling grid and then installed the new tiles in black. Overall, the tiles showed up in good condition. Some corners where a little damaged, but you just pick out the good ones for full tiles and use the damaged ones for the edges, where you have to cut them. A few tips from our experience: - Open all tiles and sort by the good full tiles and the slightly damaged ones for the cut pile. - Wear gloves when handling. the black will come off on your hands (washes off), but your skin oils may leave marks on the tiles so best to wear gloves. - I tried wiping tiles off with a damp clothe but it left subtle marks, so I would NOT suggest this. I would suggest using dry cloth first to clear off dust marks. I have not done it yet, but I plan to get paint to match and do some touch up.
