I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. Just got the microwave set up and working, so time will tell. The MCM1611ST is very similar to a Magic Chef I bought in 2004. The old machine needed some parts, which impressively Magic Chef still sold, but the cost could have approached this new machine. The old machine had an all stainless case and cavity, which these new machines lack. It was also made in Korea, while all the new machines are made in China. Really well-wrapped in plastic wrap, Styrofoam and a full cardboard cover. Took me an hour to unwrap! It appears to be up on a Styrofoam pallet. Not sure how I will be able to remove that.
