I bought the Bestway Steel Pro MAX 14x48 pool this summer and I’m honestly super happy with it. The setup was easier than I expected — took about an hour with two people, and the frame clicks together smoothly without tools. The steel feels strong and stable, and the liner is thick and durable (way better than the inflatable pools I’ve had before). The pool is the perfect size for my family — roomy enough for a few adults to float around and still have space for the kids to play. The included filter pump works fine for regular use, though I might upgrade it later just to keep the water extra clean. Draining and covering it are both pretty simple, and I love that it came with everything I needed — pump, ladder, and cover included. I actually use this pool for a garage shower base. I have an issue with my hip that keeps me from going upstairs right now. We made a square shower frame from pcv pipe and elbows, one inch wider than the pool. We added shower curtains and the pool fits perfectly inside. We already had hot and cold water and added a little pump, that pumps the water outside and a little bench. It’s actually a great shower. I worked hard coming up with a solution, this was the only square pool I found, it’s perfect. The connectors were way easier than having to use clamps on the hoses. Linking it to my Wifi was easy (although I had to take it inside to do so). The filter cycles 2000 gallons per hour, making it more than powerful enough for my 15 x 42 pool (3000 gallon capacity). The only issue I have, and the reason I didn't give this 5 stars, is the app. The wifi connectivity is a huge plus for me because I can fully automate my pool equipment. The app doesn't connect to Google Home or Alexa and basically serves as an on/off switch and timer with no scheduling capabilities (which is what I really wanted). I want to be able to program the pump to turn on and off at certain times, not just set it for a set amount of time. I could do that with an outdoor timer plug. Arrived two days ago. I paid to have it dropped directly onto my concrete pad. Got electrical hooked up yesterday, filled it up last night, got in it this morning. The good stuff: It looks good, should be very reliable given how simple it is, and was a great price. The not-so-good stuff: They sent me the wrong color, the ozonator was broken upon arrival, the drain connection is tucked back under the tub and has no shutoff valve, the jets control is just one button but still manages to be confusing. But, at the end of the day, I just want some hot water, with jets, and not have it die every six months. So, I'm mostly a happy customer. Update: Just a heads-up, exactly where the cover lift arm attaches, there's a vertical strap in the way (see my photo). We are SO happy with this tub! The seating arrangement is perfect, with no “lounger” to limit options.
