Attractive and so-far sturdy. Only issue I have is with the assembly instructions specifically regarding the curtains and bug screens. They guide us not clear regarding proper placement of them. We ordered this canopy because its 12x12 as opposed to the normal 10x10 that is available at your local big box store or sporting goods store... the blue stores lol. We like that it has an enclosure because it will be perfect for winter cigar smoking. However, upon putting it together, the 4 side panels are difficult to line up and it would take quite some time and adjustment to actually seal the corners and keep cold air out. I dont think we will end up using it for the originally intended purpose after all. The one push easy up is pretty nice. Its far more user friendly as a shade structure than the ones from the blue guys. The frame itself is bowed a bit in the top support structure, indicating that the pieces dont quite fit right. Update After a snow and ice storm in December 2025 the roof caved in. My husband put the frame together by himself in a few hours. Found the perfect installation product! I was looking to make an old fixture smart automated and this SkyPlug canopy kit allowed me do just that. The company has a SkyHome app that controls my light and best part was how easy it was to install the plug and canopy onto my fixture. After installing the outlet and plugging in my Eurofase fixture I realized how dirty the glass was. The Skyplug allowed me the ease of unplugging and cleaning my glass fixture on the ground and then quickly plugging it back into the ceiling. Where has this amazing invention been? Just to make clear, we are satisfied with the Ultra Lite canopy. The following may help with deciding to purchase since the web listing was not clear about weight. The aluminum frame and canopy, listed as 25 pounds actually weighted 29 pounds. The carrying case weighted an additional 7 pounds for a total of 36 pounds. The 46 pound figure is the weight used by the shipper and includes a sturdy shipping box. The canopy is cut for a decidedly tight fit. It was only with the third assembly and leaving it assembled overnight each time that we were able to pull all 4 corners completely down and in place over the frame. We couldn’t seat the canopy frame properly onto the pin at the top of the last leg until the fourth assembly. Again, tight but with time did loosen enough for correct assembly.
