Black bamboo has culms that are green when they first emerge from the ground, and within months they acquire the natural black color with dark-brown patches that give this bamboo a beautiful, rich, appearance. The culms of this bamboo are used extensively in Japanese woodworking and are excellent for indoor and outdoor decoration. Our Timor black timber bamboo poles come in an average of 2-3 inches in diameter. They are made up of a thick wall of heavy bamboo and are crack-resistant. Color and actual diameter will vary due to the natural material. We cannot guarantee a specific diameter of each pole, only that they will be between the diameter of 2-3 inches. Bamboo poles may also have different diameters at either end, this is due to the way bamboo grows.

Rustic split bamboo slat fences have been used for centuries in many regions of the world where bamboo is available. It can be used on its own or attached to cover a chain link fence for added beauty and privacy. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Bamboo slats or split bamboo fences are woven together with black nylon coated wire, as opposed to other split bamboo slat fences in the market that usually tie their fences with bare metal wire exposing unsightly metal and rust. The fence is semi-opaque, which provides some privacy. The unique color of the bamboo slats makes it one of the most gorgeous and striking, looking bamboo fences on the market today. The bamboo slats we use are about 1/2" wide. They are packed in a roll for convenience in shipping and setting up. This bamboo fence panel was exactly what I expected. It came wrapped properly and was easy to open. I wasn’t looking for a heavy structural fence, since I already have a strong black gate — I wanted something natural to create a softer feeling of separation and privacy. I was so pleasantly surprised at how good these look as a privacy screen for my pool. I bought four and they look absolutely beautiful against the fence. Very full, substantial, and realistic. I’m going to add white rocks to the planter as I think the moss will blow away. Plus not much moss came with it…very small bag. We use only clean, polished reeds woven together with black nylon-coated wires that match perfectly with the color tone of the fence. Most other reed fences on the market are made with non-polished reed with husk. This fence has an opacity of about 85 percent but can be doubled, making it opaque. Due to the natural material of this product, the color may vary slightly from the photos shown. This fence is tan but may differ in shades, slightly darker or lighter.
