They are practical because you do not need to hardwire them. I have not use them yet but planning under a bar shelf and under the kitchen counter where chairs will be placed. This is my 2nd time purchasing these recessed LED lights. Love how simple they are to install and with just a small box vs. canned lighting they can be used in tight places. I wanted a light in specific place in the bathroom we're remodeling, but the location was right off of a beam. To install the puck lights to a fixed location, you may use screws to fix or double-sided adhesive tapes to stick on, just needing some mins. You can install the lights in a fixed place like cabinets, furniture, showcase, etc. But more conveniently, our puck lights are not affected by location. Take it out when you use it, and save it after using it at a party or a festival.
