The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. A remote fishing village in Denmark, Skagen was a gathering place for many Danish, Norwegian and Swedish artists. This celebratory party was a gathering of many artists, and friends and an important woman painter, Anna Archer with her daughter along with Kroyer himself painted in the white suit.
