This is a really nice bed! Beautiful design, excellent engineering, very good wood species, and near perfect manufacturing tolerances with everything fitting exactly as it should. This bed is very solid when assembled; no squeaks or wobbles. I took my time with the bed assembly, double-checked carefully with the provided step-by-step pictures, and had a helper to assist with the larger pieces. Assembly took approximately 90 minutes. You want to pay particular attention to the "this side up" arrows on some of the bed pieces to avoid problems. This bed is a very good value, in my opinion, and one that you won't be disappointed purchasing. Delivery to our location was in less than 2 days and arrived in perfect condition. We ordered this bed for one of the bedrooms in our luxury cabin build and I am honestly so impressed with the quality. The wood is heavy, sturdy, and looks far more expensive than the price point. This is for my 11 year old. He uses the desk to build his legos on and we store some tubs of lego's under the desk so that they are accessible for him to create things. The LED lights don't do much to light up under the bed. They are more for fun to decorate under the bed. We have added some LED lighting in different places under his bed so that it is depressing to hang out under there. It hurts a bit to climb the ladder. Not my favorite thing. However, I have discovered that most bunkbeds have this issue. The bed is a teeny bit squeaky if wiggled. My 17yr old son and I built the bed. However, I did most of it myself and I just called my son in to help with the mattress support railing. (You need two people. I got this for my niece who is taking her sweet time cleaning her room and getting rid of her old bed. I assembled it into 4 pieces to carry upstairs once she has the space for it. It is beautiful!
