Overall, a decent set. I looked and looked and looked for the perfect outdoor dining set. I was hoping this one wouldn’t have too much of that gold edging that looks fake and there is a bit more than I hoped for, but not too much. Unfortunately, the set comes with silver screws, of which we were aware. They are very unsightly. For just over 50 we purchased Stainless steel black washers and screws to replace all of the silver ones. Why the manufacturer couldn’t do that is beyond my comprehension. Cast aluminum is an ideal material for outdoor patio furniture. It is strong, non-rusting, lightweight, and retains its good looks through blistering summer suns, drenching thunderstorms, and lively, frolicking children. All of these features make it a premium choice for outdoor patio furniture.

It’s a great product. Just a couple of minor issues. First one of the captains chairs was chipped. The second issue was the hardware. The bolts should have been sized better. And they should have been plated black like the bolts on the assembled captain’s chairs. That way you wouldn’t need the brown plastic nut covers. Last thing is a recommendation. The frame is based on a vintage chandelier from the Chapman & Myers design studio archives and the glass drops were based on a cast glass vase with a beautiful rippled texture. The metal frame of the chandelier has a curved profile. One end of each arm supports a light while a glass drop hangs from the other and the metal arm curves up and around in one continuous visual length. The central hub has the same hourglass profile. The signature detail of the design is the unique glass drops which have an organic rippled texture that almost resembles melting ice and refract the light beautifully.
