Appears to be relatively heavy-duty and well made. It is certainly long enough to serve as we expected for our old fat beagle to use to get up into my truck, on the couch and possibly onto the bed again. Rocky has arthritis in his hips and we do a lot of lifting of his aft end to get him up the back steps, into the truck and onto the couch. The ramp is long enough to make the grade favorable and not so steep he cannot negotiate most "climbs" as needed. The ramp is very compact when collapsed, yet quite strong when extended for use. Although 1 person could assemble, it does help with 2 people and would probably make assembly half as long. Also, 2 other tools came in handy: an adjustable wrench was needed to make screwing in the bolt faster while the tool they provided worked great to keep the underside of the bolt in place while tightening. Also, a rubber mallet was useful to tamp down the front gate so it fits snugly. The 4 hinge clamps ended up not being necessary to keep the side, front and rear gates in place. This wagon was the missing piece for my farm and immediately proved its usefulness as soon as it was assembled. It was easy to maneuver onto my riding mower hitch and tows very easily. Very easy to unhitch and roll into place for storage. Highly recommend this for anyone who needs to haul/transport something that a truck would be overkill for. I am finding new uses for it daily!. When the trailer departs, the lip drops automatically behind the face of the bumpers. Concrete recess is not required. It comes complete with bumpers and installation instructions. Standard Ramping is 29 inches; models FM/PP/PE 3066 and 3072 are 29-13/16 inches, with a 36-5/8 inches long ramping length available. A steel dock edge, or approach ramp is required for proper installation. The Hydraulic Hand Pump system is used to lift the leveler and extend the lip. The operator rotates the relief valve allowing the deck to descend down and rest upon the trailer. Unit comes complete with hand pump, wall mount brackets, cylinder, One-hundred Eighty (180) inch hydraulic line and oil. Truck must pull out for leveler to return to stored position.
