It really cools, but with most air conditioners it cycles between cooling and just blowing air. Temperature goes down to 60, and the air is really cold when it's cycling. It has a remote control which is super convenient if you're using this in your bedroom and dont want to get out of bed to adjust the temperature. It can also connect to wifi which is a good added feature. It's surprisingly compact and doesn't take up much space. I did buy an air purifier filter and received it yesterday so I’m reading the directions to see how to put it in. I had a previous 25,000 BTU Frigidaire, which lasted 10 years and I hope this 18,000 be to you last just as long so far, I have no problems and I hope it stays that way. Thanks. Libby72.
