We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. Don't buy this product. I made a mistake buying this product with zero reviews as my experience with Wayfair has been great so far. I assumed Wayfair wouldn't put cheap and low quality product on their website. Within 2 weeks of installation, the product LED light has started malfunctioning and now blinking with incorrect number 24x7 even when the insert if powered off. I did buy protection plan for the insert, however uninstalling this in custom hood and redoing the hood would cost me $1000 - $1200. At this point, I have no idea what to do. Top notch, great quality for the price. The metal detailing is metal not plastic. I have an installer who said the blower is more than adequate. I have a big kitchen.
