Avid griller and used to taking care of a grill. I love the Broil King grills and this is my second one. I ordered Cast Iron Grates for this one due to better searing qualities, but have been sadly disappointed, I season them about every 4-6 months and they are still rusting away. I needed to replace the cast iron grills on my Regal and didnt want to have to replace them again in the next 5 years. (becuase im lazy and dont season my grills the way I should). So Sear marks or not, I went for the stainless steel rods. Im a believer now. They leave dark sear marks just like the cast irion grills that i had before. They are so much easier to clean.
