This is my second one. My first one got so corroded from the very hard water here that I just couldn’t use it any longer. Was going to go with a less expensive one but you get what you pay for. Love this pressure cooker! I've been using an aluminum PC for years, but recently changed to an induction cooktopand needed an induction compatible PC. It's easy to close the lid securely, to tell when pressure has been achieved, and to quick release the pressure. Yes, it's expensive, but I'll have it the rest of my life and pass it on when I die.
