I purchased this in eight foot lengths to install all over the house: living room, den, four bedrooms, and hallway. It is beautifully intricate in design and has held up over the years with no cracking or chipping. We painted it a white semi-gloss. My only minor concern is that in the winter it does shrink a bit at the seams, showing gaps. But I think a little white caulk would take care of it. Added plus: we had one wall that was curved. Perfect! It elevates a wall and it's very easy to work with. It stays straight (unlike those rubber pvc rollable moulding). It's similar to a foam board but it's sturdier. It was easy to cut with shears. Using construction adhesive to stick to the wall, it was a breeze to put up. It's also paintable. I didn't need any primer. Just a couple coats of paint!
