Trumbull painted some of the images from life and visited Independence Hall to depict the chamber accurately. Though the signing took place over time and the signers were never actually in a room together, Trumbull was able to portray 42 of the actual 56 signers by locating source images. During this time she also worked as the prop, costume, and backdrop designer for the elementary school’s performances and directed the art and talent shows for many years. Now coming full circle, Ann is once again involved in instructing new and aspiring artists on her painting methods.
