I didnt pay attention to the description and had no idea it was metal with a cover. Came in a small tall box and is about 30 lbs to lift. There are ALOT of pieces to put together. There were a few screws that would not fit the holes for some reason (too large for the holes), but I had some here that worked thankfully. Took a couple hours to assemble myself. It feels sturdy and I like that its covered but I may get a bed skirt or something. I have it sitting on top of bed boards so I hope it will be ok long term and that it wont squeak. These work just as good as our box frame that was 6” thick! (We got a new bed frame that would’ve raised the mattress up too high).
