They somehow expect you to put three-quarters of the frame together supported by only two legs, attach all the bed slats, and then screw in the final quarter of the frame. If it were only that, I would give it 3 stars. But several other issues made this a nightmare: half of the pieces didn't have stickers marking their numbers; some parts of the instructions were completely wrong (I had to constantly refer back to the exploded-view diagram to figure out what actually went where), and an entire set of three pieces (#38) was completely missing. (Thank God they weren't structural, but they were slats for the guard rail.) Finally, a neurotic amount of Saran wrap was used to bundle several sets of pieces together making getting any one piece a massive headache. Putting this together was actually a nightmare. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the end result seems pretty sturdy and I like the design. If you're thinking about buying this bed frame, make sure you have at least two other people to help you, and ensure at least one of you is an absolutey amazing at figuring out terrible instructions..
