Really happy with these decorative storage boxes overall. They look beautiful styled together, but I actually ended up separating them throughout different areas of my home to help tie everything together design-wise. The pattern and wood tones are even prettier in person and look much more high end than I expected. I use the medium-sized box on my coffee table to store remotes, coasters, and other small items I want within reach but not sitting out all the time, and it works perfectly for that. The quality feels solid and they’re functional while still looking decorative. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a slight “basement” type smell inside the boxes when I first opened them. I love how solid and sturdy the crate is. The wood does have a lot of very large knotholes on every side (not shown in the photos) but my main complaint is that I ordered the color “white” but when the item arrived it had no stain of any kind—it’s raw wood. I was expecting “white” to mean that a whitewashed or “pickled” stain was used instead of a dark finish like the other 2 options offered.
