We took a road trip from PA to SC last week, and I followed the pre chilling suggestions (set both sections to -4° for a minimum of 3-4 hours before filling) from the reviews.. I adjusted one section to 34° after I filled the refrigerated food while leaving the the frozen food set to -4°. I did add a few freezer blocks to the tops of both sections before we closed the lids. On the trip down we stayed overnight in a hotel halfway to SC.. To my delight our food was in perfect condition when we unpacked it!! I'm an avid camper, so I'm excited to try this mini fridge and freezer. It was packaged and shipped well, which is important because it's heavy and has breakable electronics. And it IS heavy -- this isn't something you'll want to be dragging all over. I still have to get a power block for it and it's still too cold here in the upper midwest to go camping, but I'm looking forward to taking it out this spring/summer. It looks attractive, seems to be rugged, and the refrigerator/freezer compartments are fairly roomy for something like this (the equipment takes up some of the room in any of these), plus you won't have the ice taking up room like you usually do. The fridge seems to work awesome. Cooled down to 32 very quickly and down to 0 in a reasonable time. Currently running it at 30 on eco to see how much battery life I get. So far 3 hours and the battery is still registering full. Love the convenience of the phone app. Only disappointment was the add made me think it came with the bottle holder and small bag for wires but it didn’t.
