The bookshelf is wonderful. Very sturdy and it looks high quality. As you can see I am using for our tv and it’s deep enough where the hdmi cords have room to be plugged in horizontally into the back of the tv. One heads up though, the package is HEAVYYY so be ready to have someone help you carry it in. Other than that, once it was built (which the assembly was so easy) it wasn’t to hard to move around to where I wanted it. Note, this took quite some time for my spouse and I to put together and in the future I'd just hired Taskrabbit for 50 bucks to do it. This is a truly beautiful piece, and it makes my office look much more professional. It feels sturdy and appears to be well made overall. There are, however, some minor scratches — a few are not very noticeable, but others are more visible. The finish on the edges of the wood could definitely use improvement, as it needs better coverage. Also, note that the back of the cabinet is not real wood — it’s a very light, thin material that feels more like paper. This might matter depending on where you plan to place it. the bookcase is great. the color is slightly off from the pictures but i expected that based on reviews and it matches my other furniture as a result. maybe have more ergonomic philips head screwdriver ready because the one it comes with hurt my palm quite a bit. only complaint is the mechanism to keep the bookshelf from tilting was confusing. im just going to get a different earthquake strap..
