Planters with ridges in the bottom benefit the plant in various ways! For one, the ridges allow for better air circulation and soil aeration, in order to prevent root rot which can be very damaging to the plant. These saucers then are able to catch excess dirt and water that leaks out in order to keep your floors, tables, and counters clean from any messes!
