These were not hard to install, I watched a video. I really recommend a video, it makes the directions make sense. Getting it level is the hard part. Drilling the screws in was probably the harder part. The shades came the exact size I measured, kudos to the person who cuts them to size. I wanted something that provides some privacy (street-facing window) but is still sheer enough to let in plenty of natural light. This does the trick. Dimensions are accurate as advertised. It fit our window perfectly. Be aware, because it is sheer, that if you have your room lit up at night, people will still be able to see in a little bit (outlines and such).
