My condo has french doors in the living room and one bedroom. Even with blinds, the east morning sun heats up the entire unit, taking it all day to cool down. I have been able to lower my thermostat an average of about 2-3 degrees during the day since applying the film and I no longer have to keep the blinds closed tight all day. Surprisingly, it didnt make my room seem dark. The photo above shows the doors with film on the right side only and you can see it doesnt darken the room much. I bought the blue tree version. The material feels ultra silky. I think the photo online makes it look amazing, but in person is more like simply beautiful. I loved the overall look and feel. Yes, it is very heavy because it is a blackout curtain; I doubt that a sheer, light blackout curtain exists. The further back you stand, the more the picture comes together like a Monet watercolor. I didn't notice the lemur face in the middle until after I bought it, which I feel detracts from it because it feels more weird than whimsical. Not sure I would have gotten it, but now that it's here I am going to make it work, especially when I pair it with the Makenna Adjustable Single Curtain rod with silver bird finials on the end!.
