I fell in love with this light as we designed and renovated the first floor of a clients house. Our client was surprising particular about his dining room light. Most design recommendations he readily accepted so I was surpised when he vetoed several dining room light suggestions. After presenting our client with several more options, he selected this fixture in black. He liked the lines of the fixture with his curved, gently swooping top. He liked that it didn't have any wood detailing. And He loved the interior contrasting color. The product itself is fine, however the pictures don’t really show what it’s actually like. Make sure you read the color description. The picture makes the black dome piece look more matte and smooth, however the gloss black one is VERY glossy and had some bubbles/imperfections around it. I am not sure it’s worth the price, however I really like the braided style of the cord so I may try to reorder in the actual matte color and see if it looks better.
