There is a hole for an umbrella, but we don’t need one since ours is on a partially covered patio. If you use one, be sure to have a weighted base, since the table is lightweight. This table is very nice. It was easy to put together. It is very well built and will work great on our deck. My only problem is that it rocks. I wish the feet had stabilizer adjustment pieces on the bottom then it would rock back and forth. As it is I will have to find something to stabilize it.
