The top piece that you hold onto, when you "froth" the milk, kept falling off the frother, into your hand. It seemed that somehow, the screws that tightened the top knob to the shaft, had finally been stripped, and the knob would no longer stay on. The new one works so well! If you want to use it, it also comes with a soft, rubber stand, that you can place the beaker of milk, on, to keep it stationary. I am very happy with this product, and would surely recommend it.
