I purchased the Vornado Portal Low Profile Window Fan for our nearly 200-year-old farmhouse, which does not have central air conditioning, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping the house comfortable. One of my favorite features is the exhaust mode, which does an excellent job of pulling hot, stale air out of the house, especially after a warm day or when cooking. The low-profile design fits nicely in the window without being bulky or obstructing the view. It was easy to install, and the controls are straightforward to use. The fan moves a surprising amount of air for its size and helps create a refreshing breeze throughout the house when paired with an open window on the opposite side. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after.
