The "Dove" color is in between tan and gray. I would call it taupe. I have not seen another rug like this. It seems to be made very well and I had no issues with the fringe. Normally I don't like a fringed rug (OCD) but the fringes are sewn onto a kind of wire? so they don't flop around and they don't look like they will fray. If you love jute or sisal look but don't want the smell or the shedding, it's a great alternative. My only knock is that it's very thin, but it's made for outdoors so it would be perfect for a dining room! It's in my guest bath now but I will be moving it to my kitchen. Because it's so flat, it won't be a tripping hazard and I don't think I'll have to worry about stains. I will be purchasing more in other sizes and that says a lot because I'm usually very picky about my rugs. For once I'm happily surprised, not disappointed! I actually thought about returning this rug because i was not sure it would match ,although i read so many reviews about it that were good . Well I'm here to say it is absolutely beautiful . So soft and well made with tones of beige with a slight light pattern , very slight . My furniture is kind of a caramel color and it looks great with it . You will not be sorry on this one !. Patti. I bought this rug two years ago in a 5x7 and have wanted it in a bigger size for an adjacent room for a long time. I finally found it at a great price here on wayfair. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. It rolled out flat immediately and has no smell. I’m not experiencing any shedding. It’s soft under my feet and the color variations and texture are just gorgeous. It will match any neutral decor. I don’t have a rug pad under it.
