This is a great undermount steel sink. Size is pleasant for being only 22 inches, and deep, in order to accommodate items without splashing. There is some kind of sound deadening foam panels adhered to all sides, and the whole of the underneath of the basin has been coated with some kind of sprayed on dampening to help prevent echoing and clattering. This sink is one of those things in my kitchen i like to just stand in front of and enjoy. It is deep and yet also surprisingly easy to work over. The ledge for (included) drying rack and cutting board is a big plus. We had the sink undermounted and it's probably better that way. Like any stainless steel, it can scratch.
