We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. Looks nice and clean in our newly renovated master bath. I purchased this at a time it seemed like I couldn’t find the right door size anywhere, including the big box stores. Relatively easy to install, my husband had it in within an hour or so. We had to manually trim the sill with a saw to fit the entrance. Taking one star off because the two side panels come up higher than the actual shower door and it just looks odd, almost unfinished. We had 2 of these installed. The control panel became unattached on the first one and Wayfair sent us another range hood. I thought the first hood was pretty loud, but did an ok (just ok) job sucking smoke from the kitchen. But with the second hood, the installer noticed that the intake piece that is supposed to open when the hood was on has only half opening, which was causing the hood to be very loud. 30 in. insert range hood has up to 900 CFM suction capacity. It is equipped with 2-3-watt LED lights and can be adjustable. The light color is on the warm side. This insert range hood can be remote controlled, with the remote control infrared transmitting up to about 9.84 feet away. We also control the built-in range hood by gesture sensing and touching the digital panel. It has 4-fan speeds, whether remote control, gesture control, or touch control to adjust the speed of the fan. The power cord is 53 in. long and is connected to the power supply through a 110-120V 3-prong plug.
