Purchased open box. Received cooler packaged horizontally. Fortunately, it works. No visible serial number on the external packaging. Also not a problem due to Wayfair, but reversing the door is nearly impossible and is still a work in progress. The small plastic filler/caps are extremely hard to remove. The caps breakoff leaving the filler in the threads. I only got 2 of the six out whole. I will need to somehow remove the plastic inserts without damaging the threads for the replacement screws.. This is a really nice bed, and a great price. The back headboard can be set in 2 different positions. I have set on the higher version so I can stand my pillows up. The drawers have wheels to make them easy in and out. And the slats for the bed are metal which feel nice and sturdy. It comes with 4 guards so your bed doesnt slide, I love that.
