Phenomenal mattress. It is actually firm, but not so firm that it feels like you are sleeping on a board. The edge is firm enough that you can comfortably sit on it, and the mattress does not sag or deflect when another person sits on it or rolls over. 10in is just the right height for finding sheets that fit and not being to high off the ground. Made in USA is a bonus. The mattress was ready for sleeping within an hour, but reached its peak firmness and size a day or two later (not enough to notice an appreciable difference). He says it is very comfortable, gives great support and he likes that the mattress isn't firm but on the softer side. He is a tall boy so it seems to be holding up good for the past month that he has been sleeping on it. His only complaint is that he would of liked to feel the cooling gels more. This mattress is used when we have guest as well. My mom slept on it and she gave her stamp of approval. Believe me when I say that my Mom would let me know if she didn't like it. My dad has also slept on it a few times and he also likes it but would of liked a more firmer mattresses (he is strange). Overall it is a very good mattress.
