My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. Installing them was quick, under 10 minutes and wow do they actually work. When you let go of the door the hinges make the cabinet slowly close without making any noise. I put mine on the cabinet that gets slammed the most just because of wear it happens to be located. These are sturdy and high quality, and compared to my old hinges are a huge upgrade.
