the smell is VERY overpowering at first but will fade. i don’t suggest pets or kids or sensitive noses around it when building. it looks gorgeous and feels decent quality. one of the holes for the supports on the bed was not drilled, so we had to work around that.. The bed itself is beautiful and looks great in my guest bedroom—it feels solid and well-made, which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. Unfortunately, everything else went downhill from there. As is often the case with Wayfair, the item arrived damaged. The wood had visible dings, screws were missing, and the shipment came in two boxes delivered on separate days, which delayed assembly. Putting it together wasn’t smooth either. The instructions were fairly clear, but the screw holes didn’t align properly, making it impossible to assemble the bed perfectly.. Caryn. US. Looks good. Doesn't hold up. I've had this bed frame for just over 3 months. It was great at first but now every movement has it squeaking and swaying. Nervous a leg will just snap off one day.
