It is a Firm Bed, the base feels pretty solid, I only out 4 stars because the material feels cheap and there was some tears on the back of the headboard. We ordered this bed for one of the bedrooms in our luxury cabin build and I am honestly so impressed with the quality. The wood is heavy, sturdy, and looks far more expensive than the price point.
