I wanted a catio, but I'm just not in the position to do it right now. My 2 fur babies lay on a bench in front of the picture window all the time, so in attempt to give them an upgrade I took a chance on these. Of course I got 2 because they don't share exceptionally well. The first day they showed no interest in actually getting in but then it became a clear favorite spot to be, practically abandoning the bench. They seem to have a "new" smell when first unpacked, but it went away quickly. I do recommend having a helper (other than your inspector cat) to assemble, especially if using a manual screwdriver.
