My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. I ordered the faucet, filter faucet, air gap, and soap dispenser in Antique Gold. I waited until the final piece arrived before writing this review because I wanted to see the full set together. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the finish. The online photos made Antique Gold look much darker, richer, and warmer. In real life, especially in daylight, the finish is much lighter and reads closer to a pale satin brass or warm satin nickel than the deeper antique gold shown online. I tried to verify the finish before ordering, including calling the store, but I could not find the identical items locally to see in person. For such expensive pieces, the finish representation should be much more accurate. The photos are deceiving and do not properly show how light this color looks in normal lighting. I hope the products function well, but from a design standpoint, I am disappointed. Gerber isnt as well-known a brand as some others, but when I was shopping for fixtures for a full bathroom, it was carried by a local, highly-respected plumbing supply store, and I wound up choosing them for their design. Now that Im redoing the kitchen, I especially looked for their options. Im glad I did, because it looks great. Its a tad shorter than other similar options, which is a good thing for my application.
