This is the perfect option, especially when in the kitchen when cords and wet counters are not the safest for a phone involved. All he has to do is attach the phone, connect to Bluetooth, and voila! The audio quality is pretty decent with the alarms being significantly louder than a phones alarm would be (perfect to wake him up is he’s especially tired).
