Remote is one of those extremely cheap button-battery remotes with no indication of function printed on it. You have to guess what the functions are. The multi-function options are so tacky that I'm not sure why they offer them. I intend to stick with white lights. Note: not all of the white lights are the same temperature; some are a little cooler and brighter than others - can't really see it in photos. My husband is on deployment and I couldn't get my 7ft tree down from the rafters in the garage. I didn't want another big tree so I opted for a 5ft. Theres are 2 reasons why I gave 4 stars. 1. It is definitely petite, & doesnt quite make the 5ft measurement, maybe 4'10". It's too small for my space (which is not the tree's fault since I didnt want to deal with putting away a giant tree), however it would be perfect in an entryway or a smaller room. It fluffs out nicely, there's no bald spots, it looks real, and it was a good price point. The 2nd reason for a 4 star is because there's only 1 string of lights and its not as bright as I'm used to, but that might also be because of where its at in my home. The bottom half is a little less so, hence the four stars instead of five. For $100, you just can't beat it! We got tired of lugging lur 80lb full-size tree up and down the basement stairs. This one, I can carry by myself! 9 feet tall and slim, the branches are nice and full, and it has a beautiful shape to it! The realistic-looking branches at the tips need to be pulled apart, so keep that in mine. They look like 1 piece, but in reality, they split.
