It works for holding single LP's. It is roomy enough inside the frame to hold an album with a sleeve and the magnet used to keep the lid on seems strong enough, but it isn't super strong so you need to make sure nothing is caught while closing the frame. So far so good! Just received this a few days ago but have already set up and used it. Was very easy to put together. You have to add the turntable and belt and you ready to play.
