I always choose black because it goes with almost anything. This large planter I am using for a lot of carrots, parsnips lemongrass eucalyptus in the spring. I plant a lot of some peas and dive butter crunch, lettuce you can plant bushes and trees in this but right at the moment I’m liking that I can plant Root vegetables along with other kind of bell peppers and jalapeño peppers and even eggplant. Solid product BUT significant defect is NO DRAINAGE HOLES. Without them, expect anything planted to sit in soggy roil and rot. Had to buy drill bit and drill it out myself. I used Vulcan brand #028365, which is a 7/16” bit (just shy of 1/2 inch), the largest bit that will fit on a standard drill. Any hole smaller will clog readily and be useless. This is an inexpensive home-user brand readily available at many hardware stores. “Speed steel with a 135 deg split point eliminates the need for center punch and keeps drill from skating on hard surfaces.” Recommended for metals, but package also states plastics. You want the split point to keep the drill from skidding on slick plastic surface. Pain in the neck, though. Why does anyone make a planter without drainage!! Perfect! Great quality, look, size, shape, etc. I found a similar/same item (but under a different brand) on the Wayfair site in black, but stalled to order and sale price increased from $120-ish to $166.99 in one day. Was very bummed until I found these for $104 each - the photo, dimensions and description were identical (except for color). Thought I was settling, but the brownstone color is beautiful - not a chocolate brown like I feared, just a neutral grayish-brown that's slightly speckled and really looks great. Attached is a photo next to a black container for reference. Also love that the thick lip around the planter makes it feel substantial and give it extra strength, even though its a 1-ply heavy gauge plastic pot.
