This is exactly what I needed to get rid of the big ugly base on my umbrella. The holes for the umbrella base are tapped for M8 bolts. The outer holes work for 14 bolts. The base is powder coated dark grey with some metallic flakes. This comes with 16 lag screws that are about 2” long. I didn’t use these as they wouldn’t sink far enough into the support joists.. I opted to fill it with water since it is easy to dump out to move inside for any kind of tropical storm or hurricane preparedness. There are so many positive things about this base. First of all, I love the fact that it is on sturdy casters and can roll easily around to move the umbrella effortlessly. The casters have two lockable wheels that are easy to unlock and lock. Secondly, there are two pole adapters to fit smaller diameter poles. My umbrella pole is 1.49”, so having a smaller insert helps hold my umbrella pole sturdy.
