The handle is attached only on the outside and after having this option, I don’t know why all pans don’t do this. It arrived within days and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the material, the balance of weight when handled. the slotted steam opening, and the incremental measurements inside the pot. The heat dispersed evenly around the bottom when cooking and I different feel there were hot spots. All in all I think this is a well made very easily handled piece of cookware.
