This is a nice compact dehumidifier. It's sturdy and heavy but doesn't take up too much space. The wheels and handle are great for mobility. One of the best things about it is how quiet it is in operation. For a commercial dehumidifier, the sound is very low. I don't have the ability to fully comment on it's effectiveness yet but can say that the reading changed rather quickly with a short test try. I can’t say enough about this dehumidifier. It’s extremely well made. It performs better than expected and has replaced two 70 pint dehumidifiers in a very humid indoor space. It holds humidity levels to our desired humidity range of below 50 without issue. The blower is powerful and helps to move air around the space it is in. The gravity drain is easy to connect the provided hose and clamp to as well. There is also a washable and reusable air filter on the intake side. This is a nice fan!!! The description is not accurate, it has no light. It was not a surprise for me because I got a description from the Broan site using the fan's code AE50110DCS. I had AE50110DC and wanted to replace it with an automatic fan that turns on automatically when humidity is high and works for a specific period of time (it has a timer, a duration is up to 60 min). The fan allows the user to select a speed 50, 80 or 110 CFM. My previous fan (AE50110DC) had a permanent speed of 110. AE50110DCS at 110 makes the same level of noise as AE50110DC at 110. AE50110DCS at 80 is a little bit quieter, just a little bit. Therefore, I selected the speed 50 CFM which is really quiet for me. I set a humidity selector at 70% and a timer at 60 min. I know that for a 4PC bathroom the speed of 50 CFM is not enough but I keep a door to the bathroom open all the time and the fan will run for 60 minutes, then check humidity again and start a new 60-min cycle if humidity is above 70%. I guess it should be enough, time will show. I had a choice to buy a bigger Panasonic fan which is as quiet at 110 CFM as this fan at 50 CFM, but decided to use a fan with the same dimensions as my old one. In spite of the fact that this fan turns on automatically you may turn it on manually if necessary - turn a switch on, then off and on again.. Alexander. Kitchener, ON. Sun Nov 05 2023
