We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. I decided to install this Air Scrubber (which was Vevor branded like in the pictures) alongside a dehumidifier to tackle the restoration process head-on. The setup was incredibly effective, as the air scrubbers high airflow worked perfectly in tandem with the dehumidifier to stabilize the environment. Within a surprisingly short amount of time, the combination managed to clear out the dampness and musty smell that usually follows water damage. I’m really impressed with how quickly this unit helped get things back to normal in such a tight, difficult space. It is very big, the product pictures dont do it justice, but it’s a powerful, reliable piece of equipment that turned a potential long-term headache into a quick and manageable cleanup.. Alvin.
