This is my second attempt at buying/using an ice maker. The first time I never worked and that’s bc it was a very poorly ventilated mobile home in Florida and the heat was too much. Now, I’m in a ‘regular’ home and thought I’d give it another’s try with this model and low and behold, this thing cranks out the ice non-stop and you don’t need to stand their while it’s doing it but it helps bc you do want to put the ice in your freezer - I used a metal mixing bowl and filled it to the top in mere minutes. It’s very easy to use, just pour water in, plug it in and about 9 cubes every 6 minutes as it states is true. I’m very pleased and I would whole-heartedly recommend this product fully.. Dean. We are tired of using ice trays to freeze ice this ice maker gets the job done. The size and ease of use is perfect, not taking up a lot of space. We are a household of two so we don't use a significant amount of ice. We are also conscious of our electricity bill and because this ice maker produces ice so quickly we can turn it on without waiting a long time for ice and simply turn it off when it's not needed. I like having this ice machine. It talks about stand-by mode but I can't figure out what that is. You have to first do the self-cleaning, then you can make the ice. It makes ice fairly quickly but about 8 cubes at a time. You can make large or small ice cubes.
