Just had the hood installed last Tuesday, but the grill is not hoojed up yet so really havent used hood to see how it works. It is sleek looking and doesnt dominate our small outdoor kitchen area, which is what we we wanted. The fan does seem quite loud though even on a '1' setting so a little disappointed about that. We had looked at another hood with style design and they touted a very quiet fan, but they were out of stock so we'll never know. Had a hard time finding a fan the size I wanted but this was it! I wanted a larger size and most were not long enough for my 36" stove width I wanted a good 4" on each end. It looks great. Bit loud on low speed but think it's bcs it's so long. I don't mind. And it does a fantastic job of sucking up garlic or onion smells! Love the sleek look, baffles easy to remove and wash. It works great! For the price, it’s a great value. The fan works perfectly, and as other reviews have stated, it’s not loud on one or two, but it does get loud at three and up. I do wish the controls were a little more intuitive but one thing I love is that the same controls are on both sides of the vent (one set front left, one set back right), so it doesn’t matter which way it’s installed, and you can access buttons from the left or right.
