This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. I love the look of this. Thankfully it is not too small nor too big for my kitchen island. One thing that is annoying is the wires that it hang off on is pretty long, so if you are hanging it pretty short like what I did, there is a fair amount of wire pushing and squeezing into the rectangle box.. A seductively curved die-cast aluminum wall sconce. The 18-inch curve is attached to a square mounting plate with concealed fasteners. The mounting plane is illuminated with an even pool of light. Concealed LEDs located at the rear of the curve serve to highlight the gently curved form of the fixture as an absence of light.
